BH Series Registration Cost Calculator
BH Registration Cost Add-Up Tool
Estimated Total
The BH Series Registration Cost Calculator combines the estimated two-year BH motor vehicle tax with other registration or portal charges that you have independently verified. This keeps the calculation useful without inventing a single nationwide fee schedule.
What is included automatically?
FMtak automatically calculates only the BH motor vehicle tax from the invoice price excluding GST and selected fuel type. You can then add other verified charges shown by your dealer, Parivahan/VAHAN workflow or registering authority.
Examples of charges you may need to verify separately
| Possible item | Why FMtak does not hard-code it |
|---|---|
| Registration fee | May depend on current CMVR fee schedule and vehicle category |
| Smart-card/RC related charge | Portal and implementation can change |
| Hypothecation fee | Relevant only when finance/hypothecation applies |
| Dealer/service charges | Commercial charge, not the BH tax formula |
| State/local charge | Can vary by authority and vehicle situation |
How to get an accurate total
- Enter the invoice price excluding GST.
- Select the correct fuel type.
- Get the non-tax charge total from the current official/dealer quote.
- Enter that verified amount under “other charges”.
- Compare the result with the final government payment screen.
Why on-road price should not be used as the BH tax base
An on-road price can bundle insurance, GST, accessories, fees and other costs. The notified BH framework uses the invoice price excluding GST for the motor vehicle tax calculation, so using the full on-road price can materially overstate the estimate.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the tool include insurance and dealer charges?
No. It calculates BH motor vehicle tax and lets you add other charges that you have verified separately.
Should I enter on-road price as the vehicle price?
No. The BH tax calculation uses the vehicle invoice price excluding GST.
Why are other registration fees not hard-coded?
Non-tax charges can depend on the transaction, vehicle and current fee schedule, so FMtak avoids inventing a nationwide fixed amount.
