BH Series Diesel Tax Calculator
Diesel BH Tax Calculator
Enter the invoice price excluding GST. Final payable tax is determined by the government system.
BH Tax for Next 2 Years
The Diesel BH Tax Calculator applies the specific diesel adjustment to the standard BH invoice-price slabs and then calculates the two-year amount using the notified formula.
Diesel BH Series rates
| Invoice price excluding GST | Base slab | Diesel rate used |
|---|---|---|
| Below ₹10 lakh | 8% | 10% |
| ₹10–20 lakh | 10% | 12% |
| Above ₹20 lakh | 12% | 14% |
The diesel adjustment changes the applicable percentage, not the price slab itself. First identify the invoice-price slab; then add two percentage points for diesel.
Example
A ₹15 lakh diesel vehicle falls in the 10% base slab. After the diesel adjustment, the rate used for the BH calculation is 12%. The calculator then applies the two-year formula to that amount.
Common input mistake
Do not use an on-road price containing insurance, GST and unrelated charges as the tax base. Use the invoice price excluding GST for this calculator.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is diesel BH tax different?
The BH framework adds two percentage points to the base rate applicable to the invoice-price slab for diesel vehicles.
Does the diesel adjustment change the price slab?
No. The invoice-price slab determines the base rate first; the diesel adjustment is then applied to that rate.
Should I enter ex-showroom price or invoice price?
Use the invoice price excluding GST as required by the notified tax basis, not an arbitrary on-road total.
