BH Series Renewal Calculator
Plan Your BH Tax Renewals
Estimated Payment Plan
BH Series tax is structured differently from a one-time long-duration state road-tax payment. The Renewal Calculator converts the current BH two-year estimate into a simple payment schedule so you can understand the cash-flow pattern.
How BH renewal blocks work
For the initial period, BH motor vehicle tax is generally levied for two years or in multiples of two years. The calculator therefore models 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14-year planning horizons as repeated two-year blocks.
| Planning horizon | Number of two-year blocks |
|---|---|
| 2 years | 1 |
| 6 years | 3 |
| 10 years | 5 |
| 14 years | 7 |
What happens after the fourteenth year?
The notified framework provides for annual motor vehicle tax after the fourteenth year, with the annual amount based on half of the two-year tax calculated under the applicable rule. This is different from simply continuing the same two-year block forever.
Use the renewal calculator for budgeting, not due-date proof
The tool does not read your VAHAN record and therefore does not know your actual payment history or authority-generated due date. Use the registration record and government portal for the legal due date.
Rule source reviewed: 30 September 2026. Primary references: MoRTH G.S.R. 594(E), 26 Aug 2021, MoRTH 2022 amendment and the current Parivahan portal. Final payable tax and eligibility are determined by the government system/registering authority.
Frequently Asked Questions

What happens after 14 years?
After the fourteenth year, the notified framework provides annual motor vehicle tax based on half of the two-year tax amount calculated under the rule.

No. Use your official registration and payment records for the actual due date; the calculator shows the payment pattern, not your authority record.
